Random thoughts on ignorance….

Jun 5, 2020 | Encouragement, Poetry

A desire to remain ignorant

because of fear of the truth

some would rather sit in hate

than realize some of the lies that started during their youth

Hate begets hate, force fed and bred

into the hearts passed down through generations

the disease of hate is spread.

Who will break the chain

and let the obvious truth stand?

That GOD CREATED MAN.

Equal, no respecter of persons

Different colors and nationalities to show off His brilliant handiwork

We didn’t get to choose what skin we are in

what makes MAN- that GOD CREATED-decide that my skin is A SIN?

God must be so grieved

How something He made, others despise

How He must look around with tears in His eyes

He made us all beautiful

Who are WE that we think we can choose?

Whose life we think is more valuable

Who are we to just randomly abuse?

In some ways I get it

Ignorance can be somewhat of a “bliss”

The only difference between us is the color of our skin

To come to that simple revelation can be too great a risk!

To really realize that no one is greater than the other

No matter what race or nationality, we ARE ALL sisters and brothers

That shakes some to the core. It causes a fear to rise because it speaks *CHANGE*

It breaks the back of pride-it puts us all in the same “vein”

That “vein” being the very essence of  God who breathed life into each and every one of us

and desires us to know and follow His Character and His Name.

To think we all bleed the same and when calamity comes, it knows NO NAME

It strikes who it will- it does not choose – when disaster comes, WE ALL LOSE.

Let’s refocus, choose to lay our ignorance down

Treat each other the way we want to be treated

Stop wrongly treating and looking at others different from us with a frown.

We are ALL God’s BEAUTIFUL creations. He is brilliant for His choosing

The skin you’re in, the skin I’m in

HONOR THAT FACT – treat with love and respect and NONE of us will be losing!

A Call For Change…A Call To Love…..
