My daughter and I had a very good conversation last week. It appears as if God has been dealing with us about the same thing…”boxing Him in”. Both of us had particular situations where God was telling us to release the pictures and “scenarios” in our minds about how we “thought” or “felt” like certain things should/would play out as a result of our prayers, Especially if we had been waiting a while. It was really amazing to hear what she was saying. Such confirmation!
For example. The story of Joseph.(Genesis chap.37-50). Long story short, he was a dreamer. Little did he know that the path to a dream coming true would have him sold into slavery, thrown in jail, lied on and dealing with the pain and rejection from being separated from his family and his home and take so many years, I bet he never thought things were going to go that way! Things definitely got worse before they got better! Not only did  the dream manifest but God used him to bless many, many people and he himself was blessed more than he ever thought possible! The process Joseph went through prepared him for what God promised. It strengthened his faith and relationship with God and built his confidence which were VITAL in where God was taking him. In every step God showed favor to Joseph. Even in Joseph “bad”, God was being GOOD and had purpose in mind. But, get this…IF Joseph had painted a picture of HOW HE was going to get to where God had shown him, I believe his journey would’ve been more difficult and he wouldn’t have seen God in the smallest of things.
To sum it all up, as someone told me before, I pass on to you these words… “Flow with God”. Picture God flowing as water and you are floating on and in Him.(I literally just saw that picture) Â Silence your mind of all your opinions, blue prints and drawings, timelines and surrender to God’s plans and timing. This can be difficult for the analytical mind but God has BIGGER and BETTER plans than what fits into our finite logic. LET GO, trust and connect to the present moment in Him! Â Enjoy the walk WITH Him. Â Our lives are for His Glory and He is going to use every area of our lives to bring that Glory out; if we allow Him to. Things might not be looking right to us but be looking absolutely beautiful to God.
Romans 8:28 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
