The majority of us don’t like tests, but they are necessary. In school and other various situations, these tests were given to see if we learned/how well we learned the information that we were taught. To see if we were studying and paying attention. This not only gave the teacher an indication of where we stood but, it also showed US PERSONALLY what areas we needed to focus on more.
Would you agree that some of us are in a “Love Test” right now? I’m afraid some of us are not aware of it. To some, this is a pop quiz in which they are not prepared. To some that are aware, it is revealing that it’s an area that we need to work on.
As I read I Corinthians 13, I realize that it’s IMPERATIVE that we pass this test! God IS Love! It’s the foundation of our spiritual lives! Without love we are making noise instead of change. Without love, in our minds we think we are moving mountains when in reality, we are causing windstorms. Instead of making a positive impact on the earth, we are blowing cotton balls or, the worse scenario: forgetting about this foundation all together and joining in with the chaos instead of speaking peace over it and praying for a Heavenly outcome. (Matthew 6:10)
We must be careful not to be swept away with the tide. Matthew 24:12-13 gives us a clue to passing the test. “….. But he who endures to the end shall be saved..” The entire chapter leads up to this verse. It shows us many things that will happen and are happening as I type this. However, the focus is “enduring”. “Enduring” doesn’t mean “easy”. It’s not. It means to “hold on”. To “abide”. To “persist”. We must not allow love to grow cold. Just because the Word says “many”, it does not mean we have to be one in that count. We must not lose focus.
Right now in the current climate; What are we saying? What are we doing? It is pleasing to God? Would HE stand behind it? Do you find yourself drawing closer to The Father or further away?
Let’s encourage each other. Examine ourselves. Reach out if necessary. Let’s stay connected to The Father and His Love Line. He’s our hope and our help. Determine to stay prayed up, praised up and hooked up to Heaven. Let’s endure until the end and be saved.
