Have you ever read a book, an article or seen a movie that had these words in it? Whether it be: “and she went on to become…” or “and he went on to become…” it was always at the conclusion of the story. It marked a new chapter or phase of life that was stepped into after the difficult season was over. Despite all the odds, the character(s) would persevere and not give up. As a result of their determination to resolve the issue or overcome the addiction or life changing situation, they were able to get through it and go on to change the lives of other people and make positive impact in the world. Years ago, in the midst of trying to decide whether to fight to keep my mind or just go ahead and lose it(true story), these words popped up inside of me. I believe God gave them to me so I could stop looking at my current situation, get myself together and keep moving forward. Those words gave me hope. They made me realize that I wouldn’t always be at that “place” I was in. I would one day move on. I would have hope again…I would smile again. At the end of that trial. At the end of that chapter, I would have a story to tell – if I didn’t give up. I literally saw myself walking away into a beautiful sunset, “becoming” as I went. I’m smiling as I type this because the season did change and I am in a different, better place. It is the same with you. No matter what you have been through or are going through, don’t give up. Trust God through the process. Your season WILL change. BELIEVE that you are “BECOMING” all that He wants you to be and He’s not going to abandon you in the rough patches. “Becoming” means you’re processing out what’s ALREADY in you…we’re all just walking into the fulfillment of a bigger picture. Whether it’s a storm of our own making or one we don’t have control over, He is able to keep us through it. There is nothing we go through that God can’t use for His Glory. NOTHING. So, even in seasons of loss, chaos, disappointment and tears, lift up your head, be encouraged and keep going. There is purpose in your BECOMING…..
And she/he went on to become…..
